No, but I can share the following - my 2003 Plus 8 has severe pitting corrosion along the top of one of the wing mirror arms - very disappointing (especially as it is garaged in California!)
If the studs on your windscreen have a mechanical function, there is the risk of stress corrosion and the steel-nickel-chromium bonds must be perfect and pore-free in the presence of any trapped water and ESPECIALLY salt. I think for this reason stainless steel is preferred - I recently read that "The largest use of Type 430(SS) is in automotive trim and molding".
I can only suggest complaining to the manufacturer and demanding a windscreen, not a corroding battery!
