If you calculate the effective ratios on the current plus 4 they are not very different to that one and everyone seems happy with the current one.
Not happy with it, too long, and with the new speed limitation at 80 km/h in France, 2000 rpm and 45 bhp with 5th gear is difficult to use. I like that a motor spins at less 50% of its max rev. At this speed 2500 rpm with 4th gear and 59 bhp is also a bit low.
My old Ford Puma with less power (125 bhp) and short ratios are a real pleasure, you can use the 5th at 70 km/h without problem and 3000 rpm at 90 km/h.
