We are fortunate enough to live 2 miles along the coast near Blackpool Sands and our favourite time of year by far is Spring time.
We always walk into Dartmouth on the coastal path then as the wild flowers are at their peak and this year we had primroses, cowslips, bluebells, daffodils and wild orchid all out at the same time on Gallants Bower a fantastic site to behold and quiet on the visitor front.

I have to say it is lovely to share the delights of the area with the visitors even though the roads are busier, the pleasure on their faces combined with the revenue they bring enables us to enjoy the year round facilities that we might not otherwise have thumbs.

p.s. I have never worked in the tourist industry but have lived here and seen the vast changes over that 40 years.

This is a really good local event to attend before the season really kicks off if you like your music, we haven't missed a year.
