I still feel they should have spoken to Tesla. Tesla happy to share their technology/motors/batteries. Something could easily be worked for both 3 and 4 wheelers.
PLUS, Tesla considering letting other vehicles use the charging network.

Or BMW i3, small size, well proven, and they are already using the driveline to develop an EV Mini, BMW have already electrified an original old school mini as a promo, it was at the Oxford factory in early July when we visited
