I like the new magnetic catches for these, the older door such as my wood dash 99 4/4 is a pain to get open without the key.
I have the pop open type and got a 'Driving Glove' Tab jammed in it while messing about in the garage last week.
No way to open it.
It was jammed solid save just being able to get pointed Nose pliers onto the minuscule piece of tab showing and was able to pull it open. Phew, Glove Box, that was a close one.
