Funny you should say that!.
I would have dispensed with a couple of old spanners today but as the bin collection has been moved to tomorrow to avoid the Bank Holiday they were still on my bench and, guess what? - I found that I needed one of them to repair a broken swivel chair. I have now busily retrieved all my other old spanners from the scrap metal box.
