Until recently in Winter I carried a set of 'snow nets' in the boot of my BMW Cabriolet. They are effective but require the car to be jacked up to fit them and take up a large part of a limited boot. Even a bigger problem for the Mog.

Last year my brother put me onto these autosocks . They are quite easy to fit and come in a plastic bag that will fit under the seats. Their performance is very good on snow and hard packed snow and ice.

When I was googling the link above I also came across these comments. IMO well worth the investment of about £50-60 as they are a potential life saver.

I know it might be a considerable difference in cost etc but I just keep a spare set of alloys fitted with winter tyres and when the weather dictates fit them on my daily driver and it works really well
