The Meguiares Megeirs Maguairs Meguires Meguaires Meguairs one (one will be right) just slows to a stop if you put too much pressure on so it’s hard to burn the paint if you keep it moving

Of course if you just leave it in one place for a very long time even without too much pressure on there will be too much heat and damage can be done

But if you keep it moving slowly on the right speed settings with a polishing compound that’s not stupidly abrasive, it’s pretty much idiot proof

I’m sure it will be the same with the Dodo one

Catching edges of louvres is the biggest problem with a polisher on a Mog regardless of pad size so always either:

Steer clear of the Louvre area all together by masking a good inch all around the whole Louvre area so you are not tempted to go too close

Or

Mask over all Louvre edges (boring and time consuming) so you can polish the flat raised bits only

If polishing the bonnet when its open and supported, make sure you also mask the edges of the bonnet so you don’t catch an edge where the paint might be thin

Same applies to any edge including the raised edge of the wing - mask up fine people!
