At the Autofinesse day at Williams they had both DAS and pure rotary machines.
There was a significant higher heat build up you could feel by using pure rotary. Hence their advice to start learning with DAS.
Also take great care on edges/tight curves/ louvres and bulges.
The process prior to polishing was important too.
Power wash.
Shampoo.
Rinse.
Clay with plenty of lubrication.
Polish
Protection coat(wax or sealant).
Do not polish unless paint is PROPERLY clean.
