Greetings, all! This forum was plenty helpful in finalizing my decision to purchase a new, leftover 2017 M3W this week. So firstly, thank you!

I'll pick up my 'sport green/honey' baby tomorrow. The road to get here was an evolution of mindset and a return to my roots. I've always felt lucky to live during the time of the internal combustion engine. Never more so than now that the end may be in site. I've flown small aircraft, raced fast boats, sailed, toured on fast motorcycles and owned many, many stupidly powerful cars.

To make space for this, I actually sold a AMG GTS (as well as an Alpina B7). Both truly great cars. But what I missed despite their sophistication and power, was any appeal to my soul. As cars become insanely powerful and technologically advanced, they lose connection to humanity. I guess that's why my '08 Ural sidecar rig has outlasted multiple BMW K-bikes. There's just something special about rawness of propulsion with exposure to the elements that makes a gear-head feel...alive!

So I look forward to many happy touring days with this M3W, tinkering with it in the garage and scraping bugs from my teeth.
