Hi Phil, they are powder coated, silk black in this case. The local company that did them, GKL Powder Coating, are based on a small estate adjacent to Snetterton circuit in Norfolk. Phone 01953 888215 or gklpowdercoating@yahoo.co.uk

They have a shot blasting company Ripblast conveniently next door to provide prep. So far they have coped with aluminium, steel and chrome plated parts, as I went through similar customisation with my M3W, including lacquered metallic finish wheels. The paint is rock hard and good to 170°C.
