Haven't needed the diff lock yet Richard. All the roads around home are frozen - the only problems come from those incapable of driving in these conditions. I'm still on the Good Years as fitted in a smaller diameter to Disco 1 as OE. Not great mud tyres being only around 35% off road, but VERY good in snow.
