The trouble with the brushed finish is keeping it looking good. You will see any blemishes/ marks and need to rebrush to remove. The distressed brushed look would reduce this but only if you like the look.
I seem to remember the DeLorean having a brushed finish and watching a specialist “touching it up” with a mule type sander.
