Yeah, I would wipe that over with ACF 50, and then give it a light spray of wax. I use Tectyl 506 because its a light golden brown. That's why I specced clear underseal on Tigger. It's easy just to keep it under control.
Unfortunately you can't choose clear now, you can have any colour you want - so long as it's black
