I found a small outfit, about an hour and a half from home, which offers a number of work bays to rent by the hour. I booked a bay with a four post car lift for two hours, 18 pounds per hour and went down this morning to drill the holes to fit the rub plate. I am glad I did, the car lift makes the job so much easier from below. Whilst the car was up there I was able to do a spanner check, oil the rear springs and touch up the under seal.

The place I went to is called ‘This is your garage’ and is located south of Abingdon at Culham. It is run by enthusiasts. Potential for a TM meet later in the year.

TM meet sounds like a good plan, weekends are better for me ?
