Well, speaking just for myself, I loathe convex mirrors. Whatever the presumed benefit derived from a slightly wider field of view is more than offset by the change of scale and distance perception. Just my opinion.

I know what you mean Phil but I suppose it’s what you are used to so you get used to compensating for the distorted distance
I fitted the Morgan Hoods convex mirrors to my first Mog which I had for nearly 4 years, bought my latest Mog which had flat round mirrors which I could adjust fine but hated the narrower field of view. They just felt like I was looking down a card tube they were so restrictive. I was constantly turning my head both sides to check there wasn’t something alongside out of view
Bought another pair of Convex mirrors from John Taylor and have never looked back!
(I know, I know, the gag’s wearing thin after 4 years)
