Yes, I found that a bit odd. He said he was having a boring time installing alarm systems in Surrey so decided to do something with his life. I'm not sure that spending the next 25 years in a Bedford van staring at a lake was a great improvement.


He has an online blog and is probably quite a tourist interest himself so the local council probably tolerates it as one of those quirky anomalies that promotes tourism
