Having had both styles (though not the factory easy-up hood) I prefer the orginal.

OK, it does take quite some time (and effort with mine since it shrank slighly after reproofing the mohair!), but when it's down (or off) it's out of the way, either on the rear rack or on the parcel shelf behind the seats.

With the easy-up (on a +4), it did as it says in the description, but when folded down it reduced the carrying space behind the seats and also, if not rolled/folded very carefully could affect operation of the inertia reel belts (my '76 has static belts).

If there's a good chance of it being a wet, wet day, I put the hood up in the garage before going out, leaving the sidescreens off until needed becasue the rain is coming in sideways! grin2
