it seems that the S1 - S3 nomenclature is applied to the Roadster so does not really apply to your +4.
From memory the Series designation is:
Series 1 - Flat rads
Series 2 - First cowled cars
Series 3 - Ford Anglia engined
Series 4 - Ford Consul(?) engined
Series 5 - Kent engined
After this either the concept died out or I just don't know what they are!
I am sure someone else will come up with a more definitive response.
