I was at 60mph but slowed to 40 in case someone pulled out (years of motorcycle riding) and just when I thought “OK he’s seen me” he just pulled out giving me no time to stop.
I’ve always thought that junction was tricky if turning right and more so now as there are more cars on the road although there is good clear sight up both ways and especially up towards Ilkley
But what can you do if someone just pulls out at the last minute

The other tricky junction is just up half a mile from this one with cars coming up out of Skipton past the castle turning onto the A59
Years ago when the bypass first opened it was a nightmare (it was part of my driving test route) but now they’ve put a central reservation to pull into which makes it less problematic
