I don't think that's true when it comes to motorcycles. People on the forum of Horizons Unlimited seem to be able to. I'm not sure that "normal" Harleys are electronically fuel injected either.
But either way, some EFI's are better at coping with low octane fuel than others (apparently), so I hope it will do that just nicely.
