That nearside mirror was a real pain........ the more you turned it inwards the more it turned up to give a great view of the sky! I saw that the arm was spring loaded but didn't see how you could move it inwards.



You might be very well advised to bin the OEM mirrors and take a look at some of the good ones on the market ( you'll need to make a decision as to round or otherwise, flat or convex etc)

Librands do a good set and Heart of England have an original 'Lucas' pattern which looks good and does the job well.
It's easier if you go for after- market mirrors which will work with the original stalks or at least the sockets into which they fit ( I have a morbid horror of drilling holes in my 4/4!)

Stainless steel are a good bet but don't forget to sort out any nuts, knurl screws etc otherwise you might find the shiny new mirrors are accompanied by rusting fastenings
