Unfortunately Uncle Melvyn can not source the pins either. I wonder if I can get them from the factory, but am not desperate, just thought I'd replace old with new, all round to try & cure squeal.
As Caparo went Kaput some time ago, it could be a struggle, even for the factory, but worth a call. I think pins for the earlier lockhead calipers, which use the same pads were more of a split-pin design, but wouldn’t want to mix and match where brakes are concerned.
I know these things drive you nuts, but don’t think new pins will make any difference at all. May be just as well to be patient, let them bed in gently for a couple of hundred miles and then if no better, apply the legendary Italian tune up?
