If you run at higher pressures do your tyres at the end of their life look as though they have worn evenly - ie no bald strip in the middle of the tread? That must surely be the final arbiter of correct pressure.
Good point. The tryes on my Lotus, run at the pressures recommended by Hethel , wore comp-letely evenly acroos the tread. And if anyone knows about handling its Lotus.
