Garmin Friction Mount

The base comes with a sheet of thin plastic that you peel off before installing. It is quit sticky and will keep it from moving. I like it as it puts the unit in the shade where one can actually see what's on the screen. I cram it as far forward on the center console as I can. In the bright sun, wearing any type of Polaroid sun glasses can be hopeless. Having it on the console acts as a cushion so that when the car is vibrating at idle or low revs you can actually read it!

What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.
