I have a stage 2 Garage 56 kit (exhausts, intake and ECU) and I am delighted with it. My 2012 M3W would not run properly in summer in the south of France, with appalling pinking over 4000 RPM and really at any large throttle openings when the engine was hot. G56 felt this was probably due to the excessive baffling in the original exhausts, retaining too much exhaust gas inside the cylinders. The cylinder head temperatures on my tyre temperature IR gauge, were reading 180ºC or more. This has dropped to a far more reasonable 130º to 140º post G56.

What I would caution is, if you modify the engine, to change the oil lines from the OEM supplied 100º rated ones to good quality 150º rated lines. After going G56, I measured the oil temp in the tank with my tyre temp IR gauge and it was reading over 110º. I changed to Aeroquip FC332 150º oil hoses, which are not only a lot safer but look nice as well, in blue with red alloy unions. In summer after a hard drive the oil is reading 115º on the oil temp gauge I added, when changing the lines. I use Motul 20W60 V300 Le Mans full synthetic oil, good for 165º, according to the maker's spec sheet.
