Re the noise on acceleration, check if you still have an alloy rear sprocket. If so this is more likely to be causing the noise than the compensator.
the rear sprocket is always changed to the steel version
The compensator will rattle at idle or very low revs but quieten down as you accelerate.
I hear a brigth metallic knocking/ringing from the front when the the power train is more or less idle while driving. When accelerating or breaking by engine this will not appear.
