Mac, the jacking arrangement on your car will be identical to the one pictured I guess they are being over cautious.
When you apply the grease make sure you are square on to the nipple otherwise you waste a lot and there is a real danger that some finds it's way onto the brake disc.
Just pump away until you see the old grease appearing between the springs and just wipe any excess off.
