I had chrome plated wire wheels on my last Mog with a tiny bit of rust showing on a couple of areas
I used a fine grade steel wool with Autosol and it worked a treat
I was told early in my Mog ownership this advice by Andy at Lifes Motors:
Fine wire wool for getting tarnish off chrome plating Sponge scouring pad for badly marked stainless steel
Never ever mix the two
I then used Blackfire Wet Diamond metal sealant to give the whole wheel a clean using cloths (It smells just like a thinner version of autosol but goes a long way and is much easier to wipe on and buff up)
