The Omex ECU seems to be ready instantly however the instruments are driven by the original ECU. In any case the digital instruments need a moment to self zero. Wait until the hands sweep over an back to zero before starting otherwise the zero point will be set at the position the needle is at when you start the car. If the tacho is at 3,000 RPM, for example, it will show 4,000 rpm at idle when the engine is running.

To resolve turn the ignition off, wait a moment, turn on again and wait for the instruments to zero before starting the car.
