Result!
I looked at the connector first. Unfortunately the wires are very short and the connectors are hard to reach. From the outside everything looked good.
Then I decided to check the relays first, because I don't have much time at the moment.
My car is a 4/4 1,8 Duratec 2005/2006 left hand drive.
The arrangement of the relays is like on the picture of DaveW, only the wiper relay is on the left side.
The fuel pump relay is also no. 4 from the left (I could feel it working with my fingers) so I decided to gamble.
I exchanged the first two relays from the left (I sell motorcycle parts but I didn't get more than 2 relays from my supplier so quickly).
I took HELLA relays (also with diode and 40A).
In my 4/4 were not the here often described Bosch relays BOSCH-No.: 0332014112 with 30A fittet (these relas were replaced by 0986AH0602 with 40A) instead of this BOSCH relay were 5 relays (40A) without any manufacturer lable fitted.
A test drive in Hamburg (much stop and go) showed that the fan started again, I could even hear the relay of the fan working when I wasn't driving.

Next I have to change a windscreen washer nozzle (release the dasboaard again
).
And then I wait for 30 Wind deflectorscreens which I had made by a company so that I can replace my old torn winddeflector.
These are without the countersunk holes and are mounted with shiny flat stainless steel screws to prevent problems with the countersunk holes.
