Thanks to all for the info. I will inspect myself to see if its just the boot or whole joint and order up either part and replace. Rog I have access to a ball joint separator, I assume that replaces your impact wrench?
No you need the ball joint separator to pop the taper out of the suspension arm and then the socket and the impact wrench to undo the ball joint from the upright. I initially tried to undo it with a spanner but could not hold the wheel tight enough to get enough leverage to get the ball joint undone, with the impact wrench it was very easy. This is what I have
