Welcome, where are you based? Doing this in an email trail will be quite long! Many of us are more than happy to share but perhaps over a pint of the prefered sauce so we can go through it in depth and do it justice. I have an S2 manual and a coupe auto which is similar to an S4 (when auto came in). I love them both and they are different.
The S2 manual is like a rocket ship, grown up caterham driving experience. The S4 is a tourer which has a big lazy torque curve and can pick up it skirts a fly when you use the manual selector and squish the carpet. Running costs are nothing like a 911 or Maserati if you work with your dealer.
I bought the Coupe with the intention of making it my daily car however it did not work out. It's a mistress not a wife. I don't mean that in a rude manner. For either wives or Morgans, you make a commitment,. There is a reason you make a commitment and it creates memories.Be near your dealer but assume parts take time to arrive. The truth is if you need it every day it will be a challenge. Shooter is Captain high mileage.
For background I had a personal import Skyline GTR33v and did 100k miles in it at 600 bhp and 9 mpg so I have a petrol problem! That was replaced by a Phaeton V10 during a really high mileage period, W216 CL600, E63s Estate RS6PE and now an ML63. My name is Alistair and I have a petrol addiction.
Yet we own two now and it will take something odd to release one back into the pool of loonies that want to love one. Nothing makes me happier. It gets under your skin.
