So Im tempted to buy an Aero 8 and looking at what I want and what I can buy are two different things :-) Few questions
1. Series 2/3/4 - prices range from 39k-55k whats the sweet spot, Series 4 with side pipes
2. Engines and Gearbox - I feel it should be manual but seems a lot of later series are autos - but without paddles - good experience or not?
3. Roof - digging around there doesnt seem to be a roof option aftermarket or generally - is that correct?
4. General areas - reliable? Is engine rock solid? rust or fall apart etc?
I would put mileage on it and drive it, have a Maserati GTS at present and normally do at least 8k a year depends on how much time I get, not one for sitting in a garage and not having fun, depreciation not worried about, but are they still reliable. Assume with that engine yet but having owned a Porsche 996 and put 120K miles on it before the engine gave way and a nice 10K bill... rather not go there.
Anything else I've missed? I do love the one that I think its Michael selling in London, but like with the Maser creeping past my budget..
