Once I got that mudguard fitted into place after much fiddling around and shifting what could be shifted the clearance notch for the drive belt was way to close. I suspected that it would rub at speed and during the trial run it did just barely contact the edge of the belt resulting in a slight sing under load, back off the gas and nothing.
So got it home, put it back up on the lift and cut a much larger notch in the area of the belt. Much easier than taking everything apart to do roughly the same thing.
