I believe the OP was talking about the transmission Gear Box) rather than the rear end (bevel box). Maybe I am incorrect and if the OP would clarify he might get what he needs. I know the transmission access is not as easy as the bevel box.
I must learn to read, the OP post does indeed say gearbox
