In the UK we work to a different format:
Letter, Number, Letter, Letter, Letter
Or
Letter, Letter, Number, Letter, Letter, Letter, Letter (the latest style)
We cannot make the car look newer than the first year of registration (so a 2011 car can't have a plate that makes it look like a 2012)
We do have older plates and they run another format... Confused yet?
