I was a buyer in a factory, engineering parts were the main items. We dealt with companies supplying belts, bearings, chains etc. Belts were standardised re sizes/configuration. Bearings by dimension (and type re taper/ linear/ standard).These companies also supplied motor factors. It was a cutthroat business with keen competition.
If you struggle with finding parts it may be worth googling some and chatting to them.
Some were national companies and others more local and might do a sale direct to you or give details so you can order via a motor factor.
