Once you have put the Waxoyl down the tubes a spot of silicone sealant over the holes to prevent anymore water ingress helps. If you take the mudguards off it is worth getting them stonechip painted on the undersides and then some waxolyl over that as well. The mudguards are very prone to corrosion, so do all you can to protect them....or get some G56 ones, if you are feeling flush.
Certainly going to take them off to do the undersides. I heard they can be awkward to get align again when re fitting? Anyone experienced this? No they are very easy to take off and on, when putting them back on get one off the 3 bolts just to engage and then the other 2 before tightening and the the 2 for the stay last.
