Great to hear your long wait is nearly over smile

The engine has been through the first stages of breaking in and will have a reduced rev limiter setting of 5,125 rpm for 20 hours of operation. I found this equated to about 700 miles or so. After then it goes up to 5800 RPM.

The main think is not to lug the engine. Try to keep the revs above 2,700 for normal driving.

The engine should be pretty oil tight - mine uses well less than a litre between the 3,000 mile services. The S&S may use a bit of oil if you run it alt low revs (see above!) but there is 6 litres in the system so plenty of margin.

As to preferred oil see the alternative parts list: https://www.mtwc.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/M3W-part-numbers-V2-Word-200918.pdf

Tyre pressures - I'd suggest starting with 25 psi rear and 28 psi front. If anything drop the rear a psi or 2 if the pressure goes up too much when hot. Experiment with the fronts to find a balance between ride and understeer.

In the UK the engine cools enough for a cover after about 10-15 mins - you'll just have to see how long it takes in the sunshine shades

There's loads of info on here about faults, old and new but I'd say focus on enjoying the car rather than looking for issues.

And finally - remember to enjoy then post your thoughts and camera

woohoo
