A sad sign of the times, it seems. I visited Life's a couple of times as a teen, when my dad was stationed in Chester (as an aside, his office was in the old Brigade Headquarters in the castle, overlooking the river and the Grosvenor bridge... a step up from the usual army garrison digs). In fact, I have a feeling the first time I was ever allowed to drive the car was on a blast up to Southport for a service, relatively soon after I'd passed my test.

The car was supplied by John Dangerfield of Bristol. Another old-school dealer that went the way of all things some time ago. Still have the enamel Dangerfields badge on the back of the car, though.
