As the immobiliser is an option, the wiring diagram shows a (shorting?) plug C47, to be fitted to the immobiliser connector when not specified. Assuming your dealer is aware of this and has the correct plug, it would be a simple task to electrically remove the immobiliser and so identify if its the cause of the issue.
