What is the point of the caps? If the wiper blade touches only the glass of the front screen, I cannot see any benefit from them. If they touch the frame of the screen or even the scuttle it is another story, but they shouldn't do just that. Then the wiper blade must be too long or the sweeping angle too wide. Both can be fixed.
