Llandow is near for me but my lower spine doesn't like being ground into dust- terrible surface

Surprising comment. I've done Llandow twice - once in a Boxter abd once in my Elise. Never noticed any surface problems on either occasion - seemed no different to Castle Combe tbh
It's a personal thing I guess. My two outings were both in a Caterham, (although I did do one more years ago than I can remember in a Cooper 'S' with a Richard Longman engine)
Your mention of the 'Combe is appropriate- because from my own point of view, I'd make exactly the same comment about the surface there
