As I continue down the personalization path over the long winter, one of the things that has been bothering me for awhile is the jarring gold color of the steering quick disconnect. Just doesn't look right in the context of the retro vibe I'm seeking. So I whipped off the QD, removed the snap ring, did a quick disassembly and clean then off to be anodized black. Now it fades into the background, not calling attention to itself. Mission accomplished.
