I suppose to make it a little more pleasing and acceptable to pedestrians lower limbs instead of leaving them with blunt trauma, one could sharpen the edge on the 2 & 3 eared spinners, which would leave a nice clean cut instead.
The great safety benefit of the exposed exhaust headers and the hot engine is that any wounds caused will be instantly cauterised.
