I have been able to discover some more of the history behind the upgrade and retune.
North Coventry Kawasaki (NCK) was set-up and owned by two brothers, Graham & Allan Nash. Dom Trickett was there main engineer at that time took up the reins after the Nash's exit following their sale of NCK to TVR (to become TVR Power, and more recently Powers Performance). Dom is still there today!

Indeed, Graham Nash still trades as NCK Motorsport (
http://www.perfectpower.com/index.php/united-kingd... ). I recently contacted Graham and he stated that the ecu would have been exchanged out for an upgrade as the factory standard Landrover was not tuneable
NCK produced and retuned over a hundred RV8s during their time.
