4 years ago I had a 4/4 Librands Manifold and Cat fitted to my 2015 Sigma 4/4 .
When the car was Due MOT at 3 years old it failed on CO emissions .
A new CAT was purchased from Librands and the car passed ,however the MOT tester commented that we were a bit cheeky presenting him with a car with an inscription on the Cat stating
TRACK USE ONLY NOT FOR ROAD USE
The car struggled to pass in 2019 passing on the second attempt .
On 19 March this year the car failed with a best CO reading of 0.56% a pass is Max 0.30%.
I decided to fit the original manifold which has the upstream and down downstream sensors.
The car was retested on 30 th of March and passed with a CO reading of 0.07%.
I think the problem with the Librands system is the single sensor not giving the ECU sufficient information hence a high CO reading .
This Cat may be OK for Track use but not fit for purpose for road use .
By the way the Cain system has both sensors .
