At the risk of upsetting the "old guard"

I have to take it up for the wider models. For about 20 years (before I owned one) I couldnt figure out why I liked some Morgans more than others until I discovered the difference in width.

It was the plus8 shape I fell for. Maybe a bit less classic (less Brumbrum as my son puts it

) but more "sportscar". I find the wider cars (plus8, roadster and much praised new Plus4SS) have more presence and look "faster". I do Agree with Marian about the wheels though. The 16" rims with the lowish profile tires look slightly out of place. In that respect the Plus4 is the worst of with 15"rims and the smallest tire circumference of the range resulting in the largest gaps between the tires and the wheelarches. See;

Easily fixed by putting 65's on.
IMHO the Plus4 sport/SS and Roadster sport have the best combination of wider arches and higher tires.

Ref DaveW's desire, I wonder if one could negotiate with MMC to build a bespoke Plus4 or Roadster with the hubs, wheels and wigns of a 4/4 sport. Has anyone tried?
