I feel his pain. It is a very specific process, and anything less than 30 years old which doesn't tick all the boxes is problematic. I ended up giving up on trying to register my TVR here; the homologation shield TVR were able to supply me with was for a non-catalyst S2, whereas it seems they had only homologated the catalysed model for France. Just an N instead of a C as one of the letters on the VIN.
I then tried taking it through a single vehicle process, which involved me taking the car to Monthlery to be charged €2000 to be told it had a noisy exhaust (I know, a TVR. Who would have guessed it ? )
I then gave up and stuck the TVR in a lock-up, with a view to disinterring it and getting it back on the road when it's 30 years old and can be registered as a classic (also thus swerving the rules about emissions in town centres & so on).
The car will be 30 this year, so if I still have any money left after the lockdown, my plan is still to resurrect it.......
